PHILIPS Model L4X66BT AM/SW1/SW2/SW3 Portable Radio, it actually uses 3 miniature vacuum tubes, as well as 3 transistors. The case is Ivory Bakelite with Red Speaker Cloth and Bright Brass accents. 9V batteries in series connected with alligator clips. You can power the filaments with 8 D cells, or reduce the weight by just using 4. The Swivel Loop Antenna is quite effective for nulls when listening to shortwave, but seems to work equally well when in its collapsed position
